Most enclosure calculators were written around inches and cubic feet, which means anyone working from an 18mm sheet of MDF spends their evening converting numbers. Our tools take millimetres directly off the tape measure, report net volume in litres, and keep the cubic feet equivalent in brackets so you can still cross-check a driver spec sheet.
Gross internal volume is derived from your panel geometry and wood thickness, then port air volume, port wall material and woofer displacement are subtracted to give a net figure. Port tuning uses the standard Helmholtz resonator relationship with an end correction, solved iteratively because port displacement changes the very volume it is tuned against.
